"This hotel is in a wonderful location, has beautiful gardens, nice staff, is a historic hotel, has a great Mai Tai Bar & has a beautiful beach. "With food prices at all time highs in Hawaii booking a condo room at the Hilton Grand Islander at the Hilton Hawaiian Village was a good call. We went to Costco (9:00am a must) and stocked up on meals for 5 nights out of the 8 we stayed. Fully stocked kitchen and Laundry machines in room. It really was the way to go. "Overall the property is nice. The pool is small and most of it is deeper than 5 ft. So people gather in the small shallow area. There are three small hot tubs but one was closed during our entire stay. The walls of the hotel are very thin so you can hear people in other rooms and the doors slam. The staff is nice but don't go out of their way to be helpful. There is a very nice swing in the lobby to lounge on.
