"This is a lovely hotel super close to the Kyoto train station. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Rooms are reasonable size. Bottles of water are supplied but it would be nice for them to be in the fridge cold after a long day. A generous selection of toiletries, tea, coffee and tourist information on the entrance level. Just up from the hotel is the Higashi Honganji shrine. Several food options nearby and also car rentals. It’s a 30min walk to the Gion district. It was nice being out of the busy Gion district but would have preferred to be a little closer if choosing a hotel again next time as we prefer to walk everywhere. But saying that you can easily get on a train with the station so close."
