"We had a great time! Beautiful room with great amenities! Onsen in balcony was the best thing. Room service was on point and all the staff were very attentive and very very nice! On the way back home on a rainy day one of the female staff kindly came outside and helped me carry suit case in taxi. She kindly told me to get in the car first because it’s raining and she said she will take care of suit case. I am very pleased with this Omotenashi service and I have so much respect and appreciation....

"Hotel staff and amenities were excellent and room was spacious and clean. Only complaint is the smell of the toilet- not sure if it’s because of the built in sink, but smelled very strong the whole time we were there. "

"This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. "the thousand was perfection! wonderful accommodations. beautiful hotel. great location. attentive staff. i wish there was body lotion in the rooms but that was a minor thing. we had the traditional japanese breakfast and felt like we were treated like VIPS. highly recommend!!"

"This hotel is excellent. They offer complimentary drinks (although I would prefer sweeter wine) the options are great. I like the fact that it is within walking distance from Kyoto Station so it made it very convenient for food and shops. The staffs are friendly and offered us routes and directions. A friend of ours ask where to go to find cherry blossom during non peak season and the staff delivered. We would come back to this hotel when we visit Kyoto again. "

"The only thing i didn’t really like was the breakfast buffet. The variety of food was not as expected and a lot of the food was cold and looked like it was there a while. But there were enough choices of restaurants near by and food court at the mall next to the hotel. The location of the hotel was best. "
