"Genuine authentic japanese ryokan that is owned by a husband and wife couple who have worked it for 3 generations. Warm reception and customer service combined with excellent food and a quiet comfortable atmosphere. Cant recommend enough. "

"This hotel is excellent. They offer complimentary drinks (although I would prefer sweeter wine) the options are great. I like the fact that it is within walking distance from Kyoto Station so it made it very convenient for food and shops. The staffs are friendly and offered us routes and directions. A friend of ours ask where to go to find cherry blossom during non peak season and the staff delivered. We would come back to this hotel when we visit Kyoto again. "

"This is my second time staying at this ryokan and quite frankly I will always keep coming back to Kyoto and staying at this specific ryokan. The wife loved it and enjoyed the onsen more than she expect too. This however wasnt my first time."

"We spent two nights at the Izuyasu and greatly enjoyed our stay. This is a traditional inn, which has been owned by the same family for seven generations. They were extremely hospitable and have a combination of family and English-speaking staff running the inn.
