"This hotel was a blend of a great location that was also very quiet since you are staying across the street from a huge temple. The staff at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed and the added bonus of the onsite onsen (very clean) was wonderful after long days exploring winter days in Kyoto. They provide you all the amenities you need for the onsen and we went every day, never having to use the shower in our room. The breakfast buffet felt very traditional, and they make to order...

"We had a great time! Beautiful room with great amenities! Onsen in balcony was the best thing. Room service was on point and all the staff were very attentive and very very nice! On the way back home on a rainy day one of the female staff kindly came outside and helped me carry suit case in taxi. She kindly told me to get in the car first because it’s raining and she said she will take care of suit case. I am very pleased with this Omotenashi service and I have so much respect and appreciation....

"Quaint and charming. Clean and comfortable. The heat in the hallway can be a bit off-putting. The rooms were decent size for the price. Staff members are friendly, helpful and speaks good English. Conveniently located not far from Kyoto Station, konbinis, restaurants and a gorgeous temple. Had a good stay. "

"Room was clean and spacious. Staff were attentive. We arrived early and stored our luggage. When we returned to check in, we learnt the staff had moved our luggage to our room already, which made the overall process easier for us. Breakfast was really good and had a wide selection. Afternoon snack was good too. "

"Completely blown away by this hotel! Friendly and attentive staff, numerous amenities and felt like an authentic Japanese experience from the moment you walk in the door. Everybody must take their shoes off at the entrance and place them in easy to use lockers. The rooms had nice Japanese touches, loungewear, amenities, water and a treat in the fridge. Access to the onsen baths was available for no cost, with a wide variety of different baths (separated by gender, no clothing), massage chairs...
