"Buffet breakfast stands out for me here. Next will be the hot springs they have at the hotel followed by the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere all throughout our stay. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended for folks visiting Kyoto. Kyoto station is about 5mins walk away."

"Hotel was very nice and very convenient. Though it is right above the train station, it is also quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and there were many other wonderful food options available a short walk from the hotel for lunch and dinner."

"For a hotel in kyoto, it does the job, but choosing this option sacrifices comfort of your room for a stay right next to the main station(like a 2 minute walk away). Being next to the station, allows for a short walk to a cluster of restaurants, malls, and shops. The bathrooms were quite small and the shower head may not be too amiable to taller people. The breakfast was amazing, i’ve stayed in three hotels in my trip here and for being a cheap option of the three, it has an excellent variety of countless foods you can never get bored of. This meaning that the quality of some favorites may not be as good as elsewhere though."

"The staff was very great and pleasant! The breakfast was excellent and had very great choices. The bathrooms barely had any hooks to hang your clothes. The air condition was ok but could have been better cooling ! Kyoto station is walkable distance as well as Kyoto tower ! Room service was good. Thank you Mercure hotel and staff for a great stay"
