"This is a lovely little hotel, conveniently located off one of the seemingly endless cute streets of Bath. Could hardly be closer to the Abbey and Roman Baths, and next door to the fabulous Oak Restaurant. While normally a pedestrian only street would be ideal, this particular one is very loud. For some reason, both nights I was there (both weekdays) groups of young revellers decided to meet directly outside of the hotel to discuss their next moves, ad nauseam. Not sure what the draw is, but being that it happened both nights, it must be a thing. The room was small, but comfortable, with a good coffee and tea setup and some nice cookies from the nearby bakery. Staff was friendly. Just be prepared for the noise and the carpeted, very narrow, spiral staircase up to the guest rooms could pose a challenge for some guests."

"This was my 4th stay here and once again it didn’t disappoint. Staff are always welcoming and friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable and the situation is ideal for travelling, shopping and sightseeing. Looking forward to to my fifth stay…… whenever that will be! 😊"

"Let’s start with the hotel itself, it is stunning, tucked away but also walking distance from pretty much everything, the main lobby is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and easy to get to. The room - It was one of the courtyard rooms, it was spacious, clean, well-appointed and the bed was wonderful, the courtyard is accessible from the room itself through some French doors and very private, it has a good sized TV and the bathroom was wonderful, they give you good quality loo paper (Yes, that’s more important than you think.) Tea and coffee with a coffee machine and the room even had a radio. All in all, 10/10. The Bar – It is a small personal bar, but there are lounges to relax so plenty of space even though it feels personal, a huge selection of drinks and cocktails to choose from and expertly put together and severed by staff that know what they are doing, we will talk about them soon. The Restaurant – We had breakfast and 1 evening meal here, and the food was amazing, good quality and cooked to perfection, and excellent range to choose from, good portion sizes and served quickly without being rushed. The Staff – Well what can I say? The staff were second to none, from the minute we walked throu"

"We stayed in the Stable Block in the car park, lovely big room with fantastic shower. We enjoyed our stay as the hotel is right in the centre of Bath and great for seeing the city. Just a few small moans, the pantry idea is great but it might just be better to put the items in the rooms - for a hotel of this price it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Also, the pantry assumes that all guests will take items equally! I’m afraid our pantry area had been cleared out before we got a chance! And the bar is closed for refurbishment - this had not been mentioned in any prior communication and we weren’t told at check in. The downstairs breakfast room is doubling as a bar but it lacked any bar ambience."
