We arrived early intending to have lunch whilst waiting for our keys but to our delight the room was ready early. We had a light lunch in the restaurant with our friends which was of a good standard. "Great hotel , staff were friendly, rooms were clean, food was fantastic and a good little gym. Loved the vibe of the place in line with being an old prison. The in-house spooky tour in the basement was ok , but make what you want of it, probably not the best value for money but still fun/ interesting. "

"Staff made you feel very welcome and our dog too. The dog gift in the room. Her bed and bowls. The beautiful inn and shops. Breakfast was soo good and a sausage for our little dog. The evening meal was good value for money. Nice food menu. Not over fancy Well done we will be back "

"An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months"
