"The staff in all areas could not have been more helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Th air conditioning was very welcome in the middle of a heat wave. The bed was very comfortable. We would happily stay here again."

They have water kettle and provide coffee packets & sugar. No cleaning or servicing the room unless you ask for it. "It was perfect for what we were after. A night in Southampton before getting an early ferry. Location for that. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Really helped make the stay. Only thing we would change would be a fan in the room, as widows didn't open much to get air flow. That said it was one of the hottest nights of the year. "

Couldn't get i to my room and called, said they'd send so.eone out and call me when there. 40 minutes later called again and was helped over the phone.. no one arrived or called. Wandered around for ages trying to find the entrance, e entually found a fire es ape that was open and just walked in. The main door is actually numbered no 3.. thought this was a room.. no signs saying Brookval guest house."
