"Check in was smooth with friendly staff. Had dinner in the restaurant which had mostly to ourselves. Server was working hard and friendly. Room was nicely outfitted and nice to have suite. "

"I chose the hotel because it was near a venue I was working at for the day, and knew I would be too tired to make the 2-hour drive home afterward. I arrived late, and despite having spent the time doing pre-check in online, I had to hang around the lobby to sign forms, including one about not smoking in the room. There was no parking in the front, so I had to move my car to a very poorly lit part of the parking lot, passing people standing outside smoking by the side entry, which was not locked. Finally walking to my room with my overnight bags, the hallway was full of cigarette smoke coming from rooms (remember, signing that form?). I got to the end where my room was, grateful to be out of the hall. The room was modest and clean enough, but clear signs of wear and tear. I attempted to sleep, but the noise of people coming in and out of rooms, letting their doors bang, went on for a couple of hours. Thin carpets and no sound proofing made it nearly impossible to sleep. The room did not have curtains but had blinds that left about an inch gap at the bottom that you could pull down no further, and there was a blinding light that came on from an industrial lot next door to the hotel that hit that gap just perfectly. Between the light and the noise, I barely got 3 hours sleep. Wanted to take a bath to relax. Alas, there was no stopper in the tub or bathroom area. The coffee machine was not cleaned and contained a used coffee filter. I left 3 hours earlier than planned, fed up. "

"I've stayed in literally thousands of nights in hotels - hundreds in Hilton brands. This was by far the most disappointing stay of all. I'm not a terribly picky traveller, but when my family and stayed at this hotel while in town for a funeral, It landed at the top of my very short 'never go again' list. The only redeeming factor was the young man who checked my wife and I in - pleasant, fast and tremendously helpful in explaining how the app worked. We were there for two nights. The eggs, bacon and sausage in the buffet breakfasts were cold. The "lemon-lime water" which sounded like a refreshing sugar-free option was just sweet lemonade. The water in the pool was cold. Not cool - but cold. When we came back from the celebration of life after the first night, we were surprised the room hadn't been serviced. When I called the front desk about hit, the man who answered just replied with "well, did you ask to have it serviced?" That stunned me, then he followed with, "It's Sunday and housekeeping has gone home anyway, so we can't do it until tomorrow..." I wasn't happy. I hadn't made a huge fuss about things, although I was clear that I was disappointed. The next day, the man who had checked me in originally, made a point to apologize for the room service, but by then it was too late. I hope this isn't Hilton's new standard of service. "
