Molly Stark Sanatorium opened in 1929 as a tuberculosis sanatorium until 1970. Later used for mental health & substance abuse treatment. It’s been closed for 20yrs. Now fenced in, it is still a striking experience.

"I stayed during the holidays with my son. The house is cozy, clean, and peaceful. There were plenty of options for breakfast, including healthy options, and some quick grab and go options. The owner is friendly and very helpful. He also has lots of information about things to do in the area as well as different artwork and mementos around the house that represent Akron. I am an Akron native and I will definitely be back to stay here again! "

"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel itself was lovely and in a great location. My son absolutely loved the pool. The breakfast buffet could use a bit more variety, but it was still good overall. Honestly, the best part of the hotel was the amazing staff!"
