"The hotel is OK. Our room was on the groundfloor and seemed a bit tired. It wasn’t a large bed and we were kept awake from 4 -5am by the television in an adjoining room. Parking at the hotel is easy (reduced payment for guests) and it’s convenient for the M5 and Exeter airport."

"The staff at the breakfast were lovely and really helpful. The room was fine and as I expected. However, I felt disappointed by the advertising of the swimming pool. I emailed the leisure centre days in advance to ask if I could book the pool, they never replied. I asked at the reception how to book and they said it's an additional cost on top of the booking and to contact the leisure centre but they didn't seem too sure. I tried calling the leisure centre multiple times and they never picked...

"The staff, we found to be friendly, helpful and efficient. Room bedding and towels were clean with replacements available if required. Rooms were serviced alternate days, but also on request. Breakfasts were well presented with plenty of choices from hot, cereals, fruit, pastries etc We had dinner most evenings, which we enjoyed, with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. Also sandwiches were available if requested at lunch time in the bar."

"This was my second stay here whilst visiting my son at Exeter University. Moto Velo is <20 mins from the Uni Campus, This place caught my eye as it allows dogs to stay at a reasonable price, much better than the ridiculous amount some of the hotels in Exeter were charging. Plus it comes with free convenient parking. Check-in is faceless with easy to follow instructions. "Room was large. Bed big and comfy however our rooms aircon didn't work and the temperature was 28degrees. Told staff on arrival who said it would be fixed whilst out but it wasn't and no additional effort made to resolve. Generous 3* as other times of the year it may not be an issue."

"What a superb gem of a hotel. Location is ideal for travelling with plenty of car parking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide selection of continental and superbly cooked and varied hot options. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the meal was lovely. Originally booked one night travelling south and then decided to stay again a few nights later when travelling back. Will definitely be back."

"We stayed for three nights in a family room for three. The room is specious and clean. We have a dog with us and Kings Arms is 100% dog friendly. We stayed in a room quite close to some cooling system which was required to keep turned on to keep the beer cold (I think) but it produced a constant mechanically nose which became very noticeable in the evening.
