"Fantastic motel, easy parking, quick check in and short walk to great fish and chip shop. Even though they were super busy the rooms are super quiet and spacious with no outside noise heard. Well set out with air fryer, fry pan and microwave so you reheat and eat in your room. "

"Hallway smelt damp, carpet was old, loose and stained, wall outside room was literally falling apart and hanging out clearly from excessive water damage. Room felt dirty, stains on built in couch and decorative covers on the end of the bed, all wine glasses in the room were visibly dirty - clearly had been wiped out with a dirty rag. When checking in the front desk agent told me ‘we’ve just upgraded the room you booked to an executive room’ I didn’t ask for this … and the room certainly wasn’t...

"The location of this hotel was great - across from the beach and next to nice bars and restaurants. Nice size room, with adequate furniture. Bed linen good, appliances in the room good. However, the shower leaked terribly and bathtub was in need of replacement. Mostly what I was not happy with was the attitude of the staff. I complained about the chilliness of the pool water and the manager retorted "You are in the tropics now". I live in Brisbane, Queensland. Maybe he thought I came from...

"We were disappointed when we arrived and learnt our room was not even on the Main Street that faces the marina. We were off the back street, obviously next to permanent residents. Our room was smelly, with old and damaged furniture. The pictures on Expedia are misleading as we had no view, we had old damaged furniture, and we were off the back road and nowhere Palmer Street.
