"The check in staff was amazing! Liv in particular was extremely helpful:) The rooms were decorated in a fun and cheeky manner but had all of the modern amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. The Woodsmen’s restaurant was outstanding. We had the Sunday Roast and it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The entire stay at the hotel was wonderful."

"Room air con made a lot of noise to no effect, consequently room was hot at night. Bathroom extractor fan broken and room smelt damp. Wash basin plug did not seal effectively requiring tap to be left running when in use. Breakfast good. Position excellent for RSC."

"From our after midnight arrival to the manager who went out of his way to change us from one type of handicap access room to one that was better suited to my needs. This property was run like a well oiled machine. The staff overall was polite and helpful, which obviously was made possible by the manager who seemed to treat them all the same way he treated guests (kind and helpful) even when he wasn’t in the building the staff was exceptional. A rare find these days"

"The hotel is well located within a few minutes walk to the centre. It is pleasant, set in leafy grounds with ample parking. It's reception is traditional rather than modern and the rooms, whilst clean are getting a little tired showing wear and tear in some areas. Breakfast room is glass fronted so bright and airy, buffet breakfast is average hotel fayre, enough variety to fill you with your favourite foods. Our party of 14 stayed 3 nights, the only thing I wasn't too happy about is the cost of...

"The property if fabulous! The grounds and gardens are beautiful! Our apartment was nice, however the bedrooms upstairs were warm as it was unseasonally warm weather.There were fans in both bedrooms which helped a lot. We also had breakfast there and it was very good. The staff was very polite and helpful. I would stay again."
