The room was lovely. Staff friendly. Breakfast was very nice. We had a spa package. Been before a long time ago, the spa is now quite dated. The outdoor jacuzzi was cold. No locks for the lockers. This could do with some updating and the jacuzzi temperature upped other than that the hotel and staff very nice.

It was an extremely relaxing stay, property has a calming environment. We came from Bath and the drive in was easy. Could be rather inaccessible by public transport. Spa looked great, unfortunately we did not bring our swim wear, will be prepared the next time. Will be back at this property.

Lovely hotel

The location is superb and the room was excellent. The staffing was somewhat disorganised, especially at breakfast time and the heating in our room only worked occasionally.

Welcombe is a house, a very big house in the country. The gardens are a treat and the indoor and outdoor jacuzzis hard to beat. La la la laaaaa.

Wonderful period hotel with beautiful gardens

Huge and pretty room with antique furniture including a super comfy four poster, and a large and super clean bathroom. Great to have the spa included and lovely to see the beautiful gardens

Sarah on front desk was amazing - super helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Room was spacious - beds a little squeaky and walls thin (could hear full convos next door) but wasn’t for long. Little issue with TV not turning off with remote so used wall plug. Bathroom towels were fabulous - amazing size! Loved them. Spa and facilities were a lovely addition.

A beautiful setting this grade 2 listed building has so much character. There were a few minor issues but they were far outweighed by the positives. Architecture and the gardens were exquisite. Would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

A terrific old building surrounded by beautiful country side. The room was a lovely size and extremely comfortable. Great to sit outside on the terrace having a drink and looking at the super gardens. A great stay and a place we will stay at again.
