"We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn."

"The manager was very helpful in getting our rooms changed from the 1st floor, which I greatly appreciate. The rooms and bathroom were clean didn't have any off putting odor. You only get one small, tiny shower gel and a bar of soap, so I'd recommend you bring your own shower products. I forgot mine. Bonus though, the hotel is right next to Harris Teeter. I didn't understand why only some rooms had a refrigerator and microwave. Our 2nd room had a refrigerator, so we put our items in there. ...

"The room was neat and clean. The location was the best thing because it was near everything. The staff were not the friendliest and acted like you were bothering them. There was a young lady who was kind of rude and condescending. I was able to relax but probably won’t go there again because they lack manners and good customer service."

"The rooms were dated and shower leaked a lot on the floor. Probably a long standing issue since caulk was almost not existent outside of shower. The floor below probably had water leaking from ceiling. Usually appreciate the free breakfast but the staff member that was attending the area was rude and not attentive to keeping area clean. Usually stay at Holiday Inn Express on short stays but this was cheaper and for only one night. You get what you pay for. Front desk staff was friendly, however...

"This trip was a disaster. The hotel room had black mold in the closet and on the bathroom ceiling. We didn't notice until we had had spent several nights there. That was the worse part. The breakfast was terrible. The first morning there weren't enough plates and utensils. There was NO fruit at all and this wasn't late in the morning. No pancake mix, a few pieces of bread, no bagels and there was no restocking of the hot bar. They had fruit the next day, but it was not restocked the day after....

"This hotel is hard to describe, it is an older hotel that they have done some updates too. The stay overall was good, I had no issues, check in went smoothly, the staff was nice. The breakfast was good, pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash browns daily, I stayed 5 days and breakfast was the same each day. The shower is small but the water pressure is good and has good hot water. The sink is outside of the room with toilet and shower and toilet is also a bit small. The beds were comfy but the pillows...

"This was by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Floor was dirty, filled with bugs, lint, and dust. The entire area wreaked of weed. The bed couldn't have been more uncomfortable if it tried. The walls had marks/holes in them, it wasn't even decently painted. I was required to checkout early because I could not stand one more second of being in that room."
