"A tastefully and comfortably modernised pub in a somewhat downbeat village near the M1 and airport but surprisingly quiet. The M1 is white noise in the background. I couldn't hear the planes. Rooms in the pub's grounds were comfortable with parking right outside and the food was amazing, including breakfast. No soggy mushrooms! If I was a lone female traveller I would feel particularly safe here. Very happy that we broke our journey overnight and will definitely do so again. "

Bar / restaurant offered excellent food and drinks both in the evening and next morning for breakfast. Continental Breakfast included in the price was more than sufficient for our needs. "Great welcome, staff very helpful and friendly, super decor scheme, very tasty in rooms and in the Indian restaurant below and what a bonus that was! Terrific high quality cooking, Indian food at its very best! Locals in the bar were very friendly, it really is a great place to stop. Bed was a bit spingy and soft but otherwise full marks, we will return for sure! "
