Cigarette smoke smell seems to come through the bathroom vent. Toilet barely flushes. I wouldn't stay again but Swords is a neat town. Price was way too high for what is offered, even for a tourist season Saturday night. Lesson learned."

"The room was clean but the setup of the bed and couch was odd. The mattress on the bed was hard. To fit two people on the couch, you had to sleep horizontally, with one being on the inside and one on the outside. There was air conditioning, there were no vents in the bedroom area and no door. One TV did not work when we checked in but they promptly fixed it. "The four of us stayed at the Clontarf Castle Hotel for two nights just before our tour of Ireland. We had planned this stay for months and we were not disappointed. In fact, as we drove up the roadway to the hotel, we noticed the meticulously groomed gardens and sitting areas. it was wonderful first impression. "I had a delightful stay at this property. It is centrally located minutes from the beach and the town centre and the castle. Easy to find and very homey. The owner is a delight and very helpful with ideas on what to do and there is everything that you need in the house."

"Overall, I loved the hotel - the look, the bar and restaurant, the guitars to borrowed, the location. I didn’t like some things about the room - mainly what I would call an open floor plan bathroom - not a fan of the clear shower out in the room (although there is a curtain for privacy) the counter the length of the room with the sink in it, made the whole room feel cluttered. At least the toilet was more private."
