Great location with excellent valet car parking and an excellent concierge But they allow general public into the hotel all floors which is a security concern as well as access to the rooftop pool and bar which is annoying to guests paying full freight

Beautiful hotel - for the price $750 - breakfast should be included at least a continental breakfast. We could not lay by the pool which we were looking forward to do due to noisey children not supervised by their parents. Lovely spacious sunny courtyard room in the heart of Double Bay.

A special place to stay

We attended a wedding at the Hotel and I booked two rooms for my husband and I and our son and daughter-in-law for the night rather than travelling home after it finished. It was a wonderful stay - our room was spacious with a view into the beautiful internal courtyard. The marble bathroom is huge with a separate toilet which was appreciated. Lighting and access to mirrors was great - I am short and very short sighted and often mirrors in hotel bathrooms are too far away for me to see properly when doing makeup. The large mirror in the bathroom extended to the side which meant I could both access and see! There was also a good mirror in the room so I could see full length when I dressed. The wedding g was held in the Grand Ballroom and it was a wonderful venue and a very happy night. We used the Wilson carpark downstairs which was very convenient. Staff at the reception desk were welcoming and organised an earlier checkin for us which we were grateful for. A gracious hotel in the heart of Double Bay.

I had ordered room service but only got the food after 90 min,after various calls to reception,then the phone in the room was not working so I had to go down and enquire what happened to my order,the chap says "ooh I forgot " after speaking to the duty manager I got the food within 10min!!

It’s a well situated hotel and the reception staff were very welcoming. The rooms were clean and bright, but lack instructions for the utilities. Eg, the phone didn’t function like most phones (and the incorrect info was given by front desk when we went down to ask) so maintenance staff had to be called to show us. (Hint: don’t pick up the handset.That won’t give you a dial tone!) Also there were no instructions on how to alter the airconditioning. It turned out the fuse in the ceiling above the unit needed resetting in both our rooms by the maintenance staff before we could increase the warmth. We missed there being any lounge area for those days when it’s too wet to venture out, but you don’t want to sit in your room.
