"The property is beautiful with fun shops to explore and wonderful restaurants to enjoy with both indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I took the gondola to the top where we enjoyed the views and a hike. When it was time to check-in to the hotel the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful offering advice on breakfast options. This part of the trip was 5 starts.

"We loved our stay at Basecamp in Tahoe City. We loved the theme of exploring. Our room was very clean and the property has been well maintained. My only complaint was that the shower could use some maintenance. It was totally usable, but could use some maintenance. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. "We brought our cat and stayed in a pet-friendly rooms.
The kitchen/living area had lots of storage space, refrigerator, small stovetop, microwave and utensils/cups/etc that were convenient. Dish soap, a scrub sponge and a drying towel were provided for clean up.
However, whomever previously had our room didn’t thoroughly wash everything, so we had to pre-wash some things before we could cook. Also, water pressure at the kitchen sink was low at times.
