"We booked a standard room but they upgraded it to deluxe room (a nice surprise to ease our tiredness after traveling on a plane) Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, breakfast is very good, room is spacious, overall we loved our stay at East Indies Mansion. Tip: Don't forget to try the indian restaurant near the hotel (corner of lebuh pinang and lebuh china), their chicken kebab and cheese naan are delicious."

"Check in was simple, accomodating and hospitable. The place was elegant and very nicely decorated, clearly well-thought out. It had a lot of history. The room was smaller than I expected. The bed and bedding was comfortable and clean. The crew were very helpful and quick. Two small notes, room cleaning was a bit late (I arrived from hospital around 1pm and my room was not cleaned yet) and I hoped they improved the breakfast food. By the way, you had tons of choices for food and drinks right...

On the second night i was biten by the beg bugs on my both hands and fingers. "It's an old house that has been turned into quaint boutique hotel. Very strategic location. Don't choose the room facing the street, though, it can get very noisy at night with speeding cars (despite the small lane) and fireworks (we cane during Hari Raya holiday)."
