We had a phenomenal time at the Fantasia on holiday with our 9-month old. The facilities were excellent, the food superb, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful and the room and hotel itself were wonderful. The hotel was very accessible for a family travelling with a baby. An increible experience on our first holiday as a family.

Good for children but not a luxury break
Very good entertainment for young children with lovely rooms and pools as well as play areas. My child also loved the shows (as well the a la carte restaurant, this is limited based on how many days you are staying). The let downs are the food, drink and overall service which are very average. There is no effort to impress you and as we had recently been to an Ikos resort this paled in comparison.

So from arrival we was waiting for the room even was 3 pm 45 min and none even offer a bottle of water or any sorry or whatsoever anyway big resort a lot of people let it go but then for the first 2 days none change towels in a premium family suite till we need to report it the same with mini bar was a parrently all include but none replace few small drinks after 2 days remaining to the reception and on top of that where was adults only we went there and plenty of kids noises and distracted areas where we are without kids and want to relax in peace ....we reported to the reception but no action sign say adults only but everyone pop in kids noises crying pretty sure we are not the only who complain. And 2 a la carte dinner are disaster seriously disaster on the main pad Thai I find 3 prawns and on the steak was a half tomato and that's it Jesus seriously a shame of this resort 5 star maybe in Tenerife but somewhere else 3 max plus I am a chef and where was a station to grill sea bass chef actually was not a chef I find later couldn't do the job he didn't know how to seal the skin cook fish and serve and a lot of people agree and left the quee so very very disappointed....last thing I went to reception in the day of check out I have been told to pay extra 45euro if I want to keep the room till 6 pm my flight was 9 pm so went to the room straight after breakfast to pick up card back to reception and the same girl Monica with other supervisor told me that is impossible to extend

Beautiful hotel in every aspect, from the reception area to the terraces, bars, restaurants, pool areas & the Junior Suite I stayed in was extremely spacious and comfortable. Only slight downside was my suite had an adjoining door to the next room & I was very aware of the guests in there as I could hear everything.

Overpriced chaos
Wayyy overpriced. Each room has a shared room door meaning you can hear your neighbours. Was left next too a crying baby for a week. Cleaners im the morning aggressively dragging furniture at 9am. Have to move out of the way of all working staff who will barge past you. Dance music none stop at all pools even overlaping with other music from different speakers.

Amazing!!
Our stay was beautiful. The staffs were very friendly and polite. All the amenities were clean and looked after. The food and drinks were good and yes the drinks don’t stop flowing. There’s always something to eat 24/7. So if you are a foodie or love your dessert and drinks, you won’t regret your stay. The swimming pools are amazing and if you want to stay fit while not using their gym, no problem because they have lovely foot path by the sea so you can explore and it’s safe. Our room overlooked the ocean and what a beautiful sight. So much activities to do especially for families. As a couple, we had so much fun. Exploring the resort and the city itself. Rented a car so it was easier but you don’t need to because there is so much to do in the resort. We felt so relaxed and refreshed at the end of our stay and sadly had to say bye for now but definitely will visit again.

Overall great but not a 5 star
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this resort and our stay there with our toddler. It was the perfect family holiday destination with lots of activities for kids as well as various pools and splash pads so we couldn't have asked better in that regard. We would definitely go back here again. That said, this definitely isn't a 5 star resort. I wouldn't even consider it to the be best Bahia Principe I've stayed at in terms of service and food quality even though it was by far the most expensive. I'd even go as far as saying the service was terrible at times. There were meals at the buffet where we didn't even get offered a drink the whole meal. Despite all that, it didn't really impact our vacation as this wasn't why we picked the resort but I can certainly understand why some people would be upset if that's why they chose this particular resort. So, if you're looking for a 5 star vacation, this is not the resort for you. But if you're looking for a good family resort with lots of activities, this is a great choice!

The property was nice. It’s definitely not ALL inclusive. Fresh squeezed OJ in the morning is extra. All the free alcohol tastes like water. The beer is not good. The Buffett is the Buffett. First day is good probably because you are hungry from traveling. The pool is very nice. The activities are not that great. The rooms have AC but don’t get that cool. The lowest temperature setting is 18°C and our room never got colder than 22°C. There are 3 restaurants on the grounds. Italian, Japanese and Steak. We were most excited for the steak restaurant but extremely disappointed. The steak was extremely under seasoned and even though we asked for medium the steak was over cooked. Japanese was ok and Italian was good but I had my meal taken back because it tasted like I was eating salt. Also there are cockroaches is the lobby bar.

Here’s a honest review. I went for my birthday. The Junior Suite sea view room was awesome but a far walk from other parts of the resort. The room walls were paper thin. Had to endure listening to people vomit who must’ve had too much to drink each night. The marketing does not align with the offering. A la Cart restaurants are based on the number of nights you stay. Only able to visit one of them and only see one show with the all inclusive rate for the number of nights I stayed. The restaurant and show were great. Nice family hotel, but would not recommend for the solo or adult traveler. This hotel is like a wind trap, which makes it difficult to enjoy the adult only infinity pool or a walk along the water. The buffet was also a bit messy and a roach was crawling around the sauces, which in turn made me order out instead of eating there. The glasses at the buffet were dirty and not fully cleanses. The best part of the experience was my on-site photographers who did well. Overall, I would not stay here again nor recommend it for adult or solo travel.

Dangerous, rude staff, no air conditioning
Summary: Overall, thoroughly disappointed with the hotel due to issues with missing cot, inadequate air conditioning, poor cleanliness, negligent luggage handling, lack of response to complaints, and dangerously slippery tiled floors around the pool. I stayed at this hotel and was disappointed. We requested a cot for our 2-year-old daughter, but upon check-in, there was no cot in the room. Reception laughed, stating only under 2-year-olds get cots. The air conditioning was insufficient, taking 2 days to cool from 25°C to 22°C. Maintenance said it was just a cooling fan. The room was unclean with visible stains on the floor. Luggage was carelessly dumped in the lobby. Complaints to the manager were ignored, and reception denied any record. The tiled pool area was dangerously slippery, causing multiple slips and a child getting injured. Urgent action is needed. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel due to these issues.

Fantastic week in Tenerife - will be back
Stayed for a week in May with my husband and our 2 year old. The property is really geared towards families and children and is in fantastic condition. The room was fantastic (I booked the family suite) and I was allocated to face the pool, which was great. The staff is wonderful, specially Suzanne at reception, Indira at the restaurants (and a gent whose name I forgot but that recommended wonderful Canarian wine - Rodrigo or Ricardo, I think) and all of the cleaning staff (specially Conchi in public areas). There are plenty of pools and loungers, perhaps they could do with more parasols. You get 2 free shows at their theatre and 3 meals in the special restaurants (all great, specially the Italian for children, where they get to make their own pizza!). My daughter loved the nightly dragon projection showcase on the castle every evening. Tip: Everything is done through the app, so make sure you download it.
