"I didn’t like, they charge for parking and the water at my room.I like the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The pawns the gym was ok"

"Love the retro vibe. Not restored - just original, and super mellow, in a clean, safe La Jolla neighborhood. Highly recommended!"

"Wonderful staff. Good food and clean rooms."

"Close to a lot of amenities."

"Great staff, beach and pool area. Always love staying here. Thank you!"

"Comfortable and well appointed room with kitchen, fireplace, sofa, good bed. Breakfast is a cut above with the usual waffles, eggs, and cereal but also kimchi, rice, spinach, yogurt, seeds, and good fruit. Very pleasant place!"

"Staff were ambivalent and not helpful. Cleanliness was an issue. Location is wonderful. Odd fees that do not make any sense!!"

"Everything great except that the espresso machine was broken for our whole stay- that is a key amenity for us whenever we stay there!!"

"Great location in Village and close walking distance to ocean. Staff was great! Room clean and comfortable. Priced well. I will stay again when in the area."

"Truly exceptional hotel! A one of a kind hotel steeped in history with impeccable service. I would highly recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for a memorable vacation."

"Ugh. We stayed two days for a wedding at La Valencia and booked a suite. We are SD natives and my husband grew up in LA Jolla. It was located a bit away from the front desk and up a steep portion of a hill with stairs. Tough to navigate in a gown and heels and a workout with all our bags to get to valet when leaving. Be sure to plan some time for the valet to get your car. The room is VERY dated and the layout needs to be better thought out. Wear socks on the carpet! Our neighbors room service...

"Everyone was so nice and helpful. Great recommendations for things to do and real honest input. We were guided to a great restaurant a couple of doors down and went back!"

"Great stay"
