"Had a very good 5 day stay at Baha Mar. Check in was easy and our room was very clean. The grounds were very well maintained and the pools and beach area were very nice. We had our 3 year old and found there were a wide array of options for him from entertainment/fun to dining. He enjoyed the Flamingo walk and the aquarium and especially liked the waterpark. We dined at a different place each night and found the food quality to be very good. We brought a bunch of small snacks with us which was handy for our little guy. The TV in your room can give you daily totals of what you are spending if you are trying to keep to a certain budget. I think Baha Mar can appeal to different people from families to couples and singles. It really depends how you use the the various options. Quick tip is we found it better to negotiate for transport to and from the airport with the taxis available, pre-booking ran more exspensive. Baha Mar will be on our list of places to visit again. "

"Nice beach but can’t walk far in either direction. Expensive to get to downtown. Reef is better closer to town. Excursions limited from hotel. Must take a private bus to get to excursions. Adds to cost"

"Not the best place I have stayed. There are some issues with this hotel & Inn, or however you want to call it. For example, they installed the containers for body wash and shampoo on my hotel's bathroom wall. But they never filled it up with actual bodywash and shampoo. Overall, you pay for what you got in that area. But I do want to thank one of the staff members there. His name is Johnson Shaquilld. He helped me contact airline to check on my delayed luggage, and he helped me again when I left my shoes on one of those small buses. I got my shoes back because he told me to wait on the other side of the street waiting for bus to come back. He then helped me the third time; he told me to take the small bus to get to the airport. It saved me a lot of money. I want to use this opportunity to thank him and the people who work in that hotel were mostly nice and very helpful. "

"The natural setting is beautiful. But for >> 1000/night, this experience is WAY below expectations. The staff is not helpful nor present. Certain places were not clean. The wireless does not work. When we asked for help with the thermostat because it was set to 65 degrees, they said the only option is to shut it off and have no AC. You pay 28 dollars for a salad of just leaves and 4 tomatoes or 17 dollars for tortilla chips and salsa. The worst part is the hours. The pool may open at 8 am but not really and you’ll get yelled at if you. Some people will tell you it closes at 5 although other nights people are swimming at 7. The hours at everything are limited. Staff is never warm or helpful. We waited for a towel at the pool and the after 30 minutes went to go find one. When my husband asked a staff member, can we take these towels, we were scolded to sit have someone come to you! I’m from nyc and I realize the cost of hotels/hospitality but the truth in there are hundreds of other places/hotels that would give you way more for the money."

"We absolutely had a wonderful time; how can we not, the beach is within walking distance and the people are super nice. We found the property run down, the bathroom is in need of repair, toilet leaking and shower barely any water was coming out. The beach chairs need either upgrades or replacements. We also found the restaurants in the area were either closed or out of business- It has a lot of pluses, the number 10 bus runs right by the property and you can take it downtown for a 1.50 pp and enjoy your day visiting the many stores and restaurants - If you are looking for relaxation this is definitely the place; however if you want loud music and lots of people and traffic you won't find it here. "

"There was no communication about checking in. There is no checking in. The area is not near anything, it seems more residential. No shops, no restaurants."

"Very well appointed condo. Views are incredible. Beach area is small but lovely. Infinity pool was great and perfectly heated. Wonderful pickleball and paddle court that’s surrounded by beautiful foliage and open 24hrs. Staff was helpful and accommodating of our needs for a late checkout. "
