"This boutique hotel in the museum quarter was absolutely wonderful. Spacious double deluxe room, elevator, breakfast and lounge area with courtyard patio to relax, honesty system for drinks. Friendly helpful staff. Great neighbourhood, quiet and away from the tourists, yet very accessible to public transit, local restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend."

"We stayed in a Deluxe Room the Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium for 5 nights, and we were disappointed. They put us on a floor that was undergoing renovations (our hallway was covered in painting tape and had unfinished light fixtures), and our room had non-functional ventilation and sparse seemingly unfinished decoration. Our room also had no view (despite advertising a city view) and the bathroom was smaller than advertised. We raised all of this after one night, and mid-way through our stay...

"Very well located- 5 minute walk to tram,1 minute walk to grocery,15 minute walk radius to a good assortment of international restaurants, FoodHallen, Vondelpark, Museumplein, Leidseplein. This is a family owned and loved older hotel, not a modern resort. (Adjust your expectations.) Americans be warned they don't use shower curtains. (We aren't used to this practice.)
