"Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. "Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff who were so kind and helped us get into the car park in the heavy snow when our car couldn’t make it!! Absolutely couldn’t fault this hotel, the room was clean, lovely and spacious, in a great location easy to find and get to. Breakfast was really great and overall the stay was such a reasonable price, all of the staff were friendly and so helpful. Would absolutely recommend, thanks again :)"
