We had a wonderful room overlooking the garden. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and the food in their restaurant Sophia was excellent. The hotel is on a quiet street but close to shopping, palaces, and restaurants. Can’t wait to return!

Great Hotel!

Our 15th day of cycling around the Netherlands was met with smiles at the Carlton. Bo did a great job of getting us checked in and settled.

This was a very modern upscale hotel. The rooms were lovely, the staff were very helpful, and the location was ideal for a visit to the Hague. The hotel is located in the diplomatic area of the Hague, and therefore the scenery at local buildings were beautiful. Had the most incredible thing is that the cost was very reasonable and the hotel could not have been nicer.

The staff is amazing. The rooms were lovely. To get into the shower/bathtub is the only problem. As the sides of the tub are very high, it is very hard and dangerous for people who are not in good shape. If the are rooms with walk-in showers, it would be wise to let their older guests know of the option.

Nice location but needs a renovation

Positives: - good location - nice period building - comfy bed - restaurant food is nice - polite reception staff Improvements: - rooms extremely dated. Bathroom for instance.. for this price I would expect a renovated bathroom. - the room decor (e.g. red pattern carpet) is dark and dated. Needs to lighten up. - would be nice to have a proper coffee - breakfast staff not easy to get hold off and always look confused - restaurant waitress spoke very little English. She explained the dish all wrong. Explicitly asked for no shellfish - dish had prawns and mussels.

This hotel is kind of a perod hotel. It feels comfortable, the ambiance is like an old friend. The staff are friendly, ready to help and courteous. I felt right at home in this hotel. It is a place you just feel comfortable in, yet it has everything you want. The rooms are very well done and good sized. Again a comfortable experience, I was there for a week and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The breakfasts are excellent and the outside area is very nice for sitting in the afternoon sun or have a nice glass of wine. I would highly recommend this establishment.
