Really good room, convenient, parking at 19.95 eur per day. The price reflects it, there is no air con, which is ok for about 340 days per year. That said I would stay there again.

Nice hotel near train station

comfortable bed and nice enough room in a very convenient location directly across from the train station. Only complaint is the soap shelf in the shower had a used (with lots of hair wrapped around) hair tie still sitting on it.

This was a nice place but during the heat wave it became apparant that some rooms do not have air conditioning and became very hot. Just worth checking before you plan.

A very nice hotel near to center of town and train

Wonderfully located hotel about 500 yards from the rail station so we took the train on our visits to Amsterdam for only 21 euros round trip. Excellent breakfast and dining room above average. Close to town historical center in the very lovely town of Leiden.

Our 8 day trip could not have been better. The hotel was clean and the staff were kind and very accommodating. The room was quiet and cleaned daily. I loved the espresso machine in the room. The location is excellent for walking or biking around Leiden. Central Station is literally across the street and on the other side of the block is De Valk Windmill. Really loved our stay here and will be back next time for sure. Thank you for making our first trip to Leiden such a success!

This hotel was quite expensive for the awful condition that it is in. The rooms were old and shabby and the bathroom stank of sewage. I asked to have my room changed because the TV did not work. The second room was just as bad. But stank even worse.

Need more lighting

Customers should be aware of the fact that the hotel has two sections with slightly different names. This is to differentiate what they call 3 star versus 4 star accommodations. The key differentiator is that the 3 star section has no AC and old fashioned high bathtubs which can be quite dangerous for older people with less mobility to use. Their rooms are slightly larger than the 4 star rooms, however. Since my wife has significant mobility issues they were gracious enough to upgrade us to a 4 star room in the new section. With its walk in shower it met our needs perfectly. The only two things that we were not fond of were the two twin beds pushed together (which kept separating during the night) and the very limited lighting in the room. Other than that the room was clean, neat and perfectly located to the train station so no need for a taxi. The walk into the old section of town was also quite short. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. One of the highlights of the hotel was its restaurant which served very good food - not the ordinary mediocre food typical of most American hotels.

Very efficient and friendly staff. Only downsides were the foam mattress, felt like I’d made my shape in it and it stayed that shape until I got up. Room at front of hotel, very busy road outside, quite noisy at night. Only one breakfast tea bag on tray, but two others we didn’t like. Instructions for coffee machine would be helpful, I wasn’t successful with my first cup, water leaked everywhere, used bath towel to wipe water up. Second cup okay. Friends asked how to work coffee machine, so advised them what to do and what not to do! Lovely area, shame only a one night stay. Near to train station and easy to get to from airport.
