"Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC"

"Ample parking, good breakfast, ok but limited evening meals."

"The hotel staff were very polite, helpful, and easy to understand, which made our stay very comfortable. The hotel facilities were also very clean and well maintained, making it a pleasant and relaxing place to stay."

"It has to be said that the house and grounds are superb and Met my desire to have my friend wake up on her 80th birthday in palatial surroundings. However I have just been informed at the end of breakfast that it is not included in my Expedia booking! There is no warning of that whatsoever and I think that it is deceitful and deceptive. "
