"Our stay at Lords of the Manor was truly exceptional. The hotel itself is very pretty, and although it rained almost constantly, the grounds were clearly beautiful. The weather did nothing to detract from the warm and gracious welcome we received. Every member of staff was unfailingly polite, attentive, and helpful, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. From start to finish, everything about our stay was a genuinely lovely experience."

"Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location, right on the river. Had an evening meal and breakfast there and the food was very good. Room was ok… bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit shabby… paint peeling off the walls, lots of black mould on the bottom of the shower door and it smelt of damp, probably due to the poor drainage of the shower."

"Most Wonderful Experience! Beautifully cared for and renovated manor house. Superb grounds, excellent breakfasts, bar with a nice feel and aesthetic. Our room was incredible. Unbeknownst to us, management upgraded our room to a garden suite, which took our breath away. The suite was huge and gorgeously appointed, as was the bathroom. We had a private patio with a firepit. Gracious staff ensured that we had firewood, tea, snacks…anything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again!"

"Lovely property just a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the water, though beware there is a very steep hill to climb when walking back. Very spacious. Lounge and open plan kitchen could do with a bit of an update. Fabulous views across the country side and so many different species of birds to view from the very large window in the lounge. Owners very kindly left binoculars and a bird book. Extremely quiet setting. Stayed Friday to Monday and it was a really lovely break. "

"We stayed at Lansdowne Cottage for two nights. The location was excellent — a short walk to Bourton-on-the-Water with its riverside views, shops, and restaurants. The cottage was cozy and had helpful amenities like a washer-dryer and utensils, though some items needed washing before use. Towels were limited, and we had to reuse them during our stay. The main issue was the heat. We visited during a heat wave, and the cottage had only one small fan. Another was provided on request, but it wasn’t...

"Asked for a double bed, even received a phone call the day before arrival asking what type of bed setup we wanted, but was given a twin bed set up. Room definitely needs an upgrade. Charged £45 for a small dog for 3 nights totally over the top. Shower tray did not drain well and nearly flooded the bathroom. Since our visit 7 years ago the pub is more geared to an overpriced restaurant rather than somewhere comfortable to have a drink. Will not be returning."

"Barton Cottage is a lovely property in the beautiful Bourton on the Water. There is a lot to do just walking around the village (kid friendly)and nearby villages. There are great dining options nearby. We enjoyed the comfortable living room. We did have trouble finding the property and couldn’t get ahold of the management service. The gps coordinates on Expedia are inaccurate and the street was dark. The property is the right next to the Mousetrap Inn. It has a sign that was difficult to...
