"Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return"

"I would have rated our stay a 5 except for one issue that was not resolved to our satisfaction. The washer did not drain properly and the staff took our clothing to rewash and dry them while the machine was repaired. No one ever came to repair the machine and when my clothes were returned, they were stuffed in a laundry bag and did not appear clean. This hotel has many levels and stairs are unavoidable. I asked the hotel staff on how I could get access to my room and the person was very stand offish and rude. "Great stay overall. The check in receptionist was excellent, very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. She assisted with the multiple bags and golf travel bags that I had, as well as provided good recommendations. The location is ideal, just a 3-minute walk to the tram and only a few minutes to central Princes Street.
