"Our stay at The Kinson was very disappointing. First, the hotel’s parking information is misleading. The property advertises AUD 45 per night for parking, but this is not how it actually works. On weekdays (Monday to Friday), you are not charged AUD 45 for the entire night. Instead, every time you leave the car park and return more than one hour later, you are charged another AUD 45. This means that if you drive out during your stay and come back later, you have to pay the full parking fee...

"Rooms are rather shabby and old. In need of a renovation. Bathroom door didn’t close properly, fittings were dated. The hotel charged my credit card pre-authorisation charges up to $500 “because of a system error”. This took 10 days to recover into my account."

"This was my fourth Quest stay on this trip and sadly it was far below the others. The room we had had the bedroom wall vibrating which I traced to the extractions fans from either bedroom. We were offered another room was a little more shabby (burn marks in the counter top, fraid carpet between rooms). So stayed where we were and made sure the we lit the toilet from the hall light if going to the loo in the evening. The internet was poor, it kept stopping and made it unusable for the laptop...

"Overpriced for a room with facilities that are either broken, missing, too old to be useful, very worn, requiring attention, or badly chosen and located. Reasonably quiet for sleeping. The electric toaster worked well."

" No hot water, the adjourning room is actually just one apartment split, per the fireplan and switchboard, the locks keep getting switched between those rooms and the TV was swapped, clearly being stalked where the next apartment has one door on their side and full access to my window isn't wierd enough. The parking area mimics an old residence car park with storage cages exactly the same, i've been set up on my own home, and people closest to me who lost everything or are dead, never in a hotel...

"Within walking distance to St Kilda Beach and just a 20-minute tram ride from the city center, the location is absolutely perfect. It’s surrounded by plenty of cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets, yet the area itself remains quiet and peaceful. The hotel facilities are excellent; the lounge is spacious and relaxing, and the shared kitchen is very well-equipped. My private room was also roomy and comfortable. I was delighted to find that they provided a kettle along with some delicious Melbourne...
