"Very clean and beautiful rooms. Also beautiful restaurant, fantastic when I paid for add-on breakfast - best breakfasts of whole NZ trip. They do not provide clean bed sheets daily fyi. The dinners were also fantastic and the view from the rooms was fantastic. Difficult if you have any sort of knee or ankle issue - lots of very steep uphill, lots of stairs. "Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Had lovely view from our Balcony and close walk to the beach. Nice and close to Tairua main road and amenities. Would recommend good value for money."

"The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The toilet was mounted on a piece of laminated wood, which did not look hygienic. The toilet seat was very loose. The whole studio looked like it could have had a deep clean around the edges. The bedding was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Location to restaurants was very good."

"We stayed 1 night only in the deluxe standard cabin on Jan 7. The room has an unique design, but very small with 1 queen bed, 2 chairs, 1 small table and mini kitchen cabinet (water boiler, toaster, cup, glass, plate are available with free tea-coffee-choc). Shared bathroom-toilet-kitchen are clean. But uncomfortable if in the night you need to go to toilet, you must walk around 2 minutes, and very cold outside! "Pleasant stay at Hahei. The location is strategic, walking distance to the Hahei Beach. The Studio is nice, it has a small kitchen and dining table for 2 persons.Since my stay was not in peak season(Winter time), it was quiet at night and you can hear the waves sound from the beach. Overall, recommended!"
