"There is no one to check you in or ask questions to until after 5 pm or so. The front desk isn't staffed in the morning but I finally found someone cleaning a room the following morning. He told me they would not store my small but somewhat heavy bag for pick-up after 5 pm when a front desk person would be there. I said I didn't mind waiting until 5 pm to come back for the bag. He then changed their excuse for refusing to hold the bag to "we can't be responsible for it". I wasn't asking them...

"Not stopped in a YHA before but this was lovely. 3 bedded room to ourselves with private bathroom. Lovely old building with very helpful staff. Very close to everything in Stratford upon Avon would definitely stop again when visiting our friends in Tiddington. If you're a first timer like us please be aware.. no towels, TV or drink facilities in the room."

"We stayed for two nights and had a pretty good stay. On arrival we were given a room that on the face of it seemed good. However when I check on the booking we had paid for a junior deluxe room and the photos showed a very much better room. We went back to the reception and after some checking were taken to the room we should have had, whet a difference! We got there in the end but were disappointed that we had to challenge to get the room we had actually booked. Otherwise nice stay but a little...

"Great location, potential to be a beautiful hotel, but needs some tlc. The room was dirty, dirty toilet, headboard had stains all over it, stains on the sheets. No Iron, ironing board or even a hairdryer in the room. Not suitable for disabled people, steps outside the property, stairs everywhere, no lift.
The lady on reception was very lovely and very helpful."

"What an idyllic delight!!! It’s an old home, but it was so comfortable! Our room was huge, and the breakfast buffet in the morning right outside our door was perfect. The tea & biscuits waiting for us in our room upon arrival were much appreciated, and I got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life over the sheep fields."

- Clean rooms on arrival, but cleaners not great during the stay.
The shower was the biggest disappointment, not enough pressure and Temperamental temperature.
The breakfast menu is quite poor with vegetarian options, for example the vegan breakfast was full of fake meat products rather than veg and plant based ingredients.
