"Beautiful conversion of a historic courthouse with loads of character. Spacious, clean rooms, a very comfortable bed, and a good included breakfast. Free parking and 10-15 minute walk to the waterfront and downtown restaurants. A few areas are a little scruffy (surrounding grounds more than anything), but it didn’t take away from an enjoyable stay. For us and our dogs. Would definitely stay again."

I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived to check in, the person at the front desk immediately said “no locals” in a rude and dismissive tone. If this hotel refuses local guests, that policy should be clearly stated on both Expedia and the hotel’s own website before anyone books and pays. Taking someone’s money and then surprising them at check-in with an undisclosed policy is unacceptable. When I explained that I had already paid...

"Rooms where clean, and air conditioning very helpful. We were able to park by our outside door. Helpful because my husband and I both have problems with walking and climbing stairs. He has a cane and I have a walker. Close to eating and shopping, but we can't do it much at all. Quite a night for sleeping which was very appreciated. Even day time was quite as well. Will book there again."

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was just ok. Bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned with hair left on the shower walls. Air conditioner was in poor condition and making noises. Free wifi was advertised but we ended up having to pay for it and it was not worth it. Not enough bandwidth."

"Was okay for one night to get a shower and the sheets seemed clean. The curtain rod and curtains fell off the back window when I tried to open them and the TV had no sound -tried everything with the complicated two remote controls - nope."

"Upon arrival, we were utterly disappointed. The photos do not properly depict the hotel’s terrible condition. The room was disgusting, it looked as though it had been previously broken into, it was not clean, the sheets were not white, but a dingy grey. We very quickly requested a refund and continued on our way to find something better. The man at the front desk was very helpful and assured us that a refund had been processed. Please do yourself a favour and don’t consider staying here."

"The hottub was unfortunately, not working. Not really a problem except that the hotel never informed its guests of the issue. And so we got into our suits, went down to the pool, only to be disappointed. Other than that, a very good experience."
