Nice surroundings but close to main thoroughfare and restaurants and just across from downtown. (I brought a sleeping pill to sleep through the moderate street noise). Coffee available in lobby, nice surroundings and friendly bilingual personal, easy check in. Great value, recommended! "

"The pool at Borinquen is surrounded by trees and is set kind of in a valley and in the afternoons between 3-5 you could start to see the branches moving on the trees and all of a sudden, you would start to see monkeys swinging from branch to branch. Mama monkeys carrying their baby monkeys, monkeys "fighting", eating, just going about their day. It was absolutely amazing. That was when the spider monkeys came out. If the howler monkeys were there you would hear them coming up the valley around that time and then start seeing them, but they weren't as obvious visually. Either way it was an experience and was so magical. Our teenage kids said it was their best vacation ever. We loved it at Borinquen. Their zipline tour was also very fun! All around a great stay! Worth every penny. FYI - very remote and limited on food so just a few days/nights is a perfect amount of time spent there. "
