"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The Imperial Torquay

The Imperial Torquay

8/10 Good
"Check in was very efficient. The lobby is impressive and the hotel has a beautiful Victorian interior. Plenty of parking spaces and quite reasonably priced at £10 per night. The hotel room itself was very dated with dark wood furniture and no mini fridge. It was very clean with a large bathroom but some of the towels were marked. The bed was large and very comfortable. The dining room has a gorgeous view across the bay right over to brixham. The food choices for breakfast were extensive, some of the full English items could have been warmer but I’m just being picky. The staff were all very polite. The communal spaces were very nice but the hotel does give off an air that it needs a bit of updating. The hotel frontage is not very appealing, the 3 flags above the entrance tend to clang against the poles if it’s windy which wasn’t great as our room was directly above. Would I stay here again? Probably because it’s a great location, less than 10 minutes away from the harbour."
