Instead, I was sent a generic reminder to bring ID, which I did (including my passport), yet no ID was even checked on arrival. "The Mill Hotel is in an excellent position, overlooking the mill pond and adjoining common. There is ample parking nearby and it is just a short walk into the lovely town of Sudbury. There is an attractive restaurant and bar, with feature water wheel, and the food was good. The rooms were well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Due to the historic age of the hotel, there's no lift, which would have caused me problems if my room had been on an upper floor."

"Sian, the landlady is wonderful -- friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel's.com said there are laundry facilities but this is not true. BUT Sian did our laundry for us. We stayed in the annex but no one who was mobility problems, or is tall or heavy should stay there -- it is difficult to maneuver under the low ceilings. "
