"I had a Large Double Ensuite Room. Quiet Location. To Improve :- Do not use an Extention Lead for the Large TV - a hazard for guest to wheel the extension lead to a socket Drill the TV into the wall facing the double bed The chairs around the table looks like a meeting room - please remove and the office chair opposude the dressing table does not match. Decor is outdated. Perhaps antique decor as it would suit the hotel and buildings Cold table in bath is hard to turn Sink is blocked in bathroom...

"Close enough to town but quiet, in fantastic grounds, the hotel is well run with staff who excell in looking after their guests. The rooms & food are excellent."

"The room was spacious although the decor was a little tired and in need of some TLC. Very hot in room and although a fan was provided it wasn't adequate for the size of the room. The room was at the front of the hotel so we had some road noise as the windows were the old sash windows. Some black out curtains would have been useful as there was lots of early morning light filtering through. The bathroom was in need of a makeover. Cracked tiles, short shower curtain and water damaged bath panel...

"Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy."

"Nice upgraded room but needs a bigger bed. Staff at breakfast were very slow and often nowhere to be seen. Poached eggs took 15 mins and were hard on arrival. Nice hotel, good location, plenty parking. Just needs more attention by breakfast staff!"

The swimming pools were clean and were providing experiences for small children whilst rhe other pool catered for over 18s. "This property is a gem! Incredibly convenient and comfortable for anyone visiting. We only stayed one night, but the staff was very helpful and nice. The beds are extremely comfortable and air conditioning was key to a very hot couple of days. The amenities are also wonderful."

"Fantastic view of the cathedral from our room. However the room and hotel were a little tired. There were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom light switch was in a dangerous condition…arcing at the slightest touch. There never appeared to be any staff available and the buffet breakfast…well, don’t bother paying for it! You can get a fabulous breakfast at one of the many cafes available nearby!"
