"The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The building is beautiful and attractive. I last stayed there in 1976 and it has changed a lot. The rooms are now all en-suite, which wasn't the case 49 years ago. The room in which I stayed was fantastically quiet and the bathroom was beautiful! There was a bath with a shower over and both were fabulous. I also loved the scent in the hair and body wash that was provided. "From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and friendly which continued throughout our 2night stay. Room a lovely size. Lovely and warm too. Food was great and bar staff attentive too. All in all a very relaxing experience and would thoroughly recommend to others. "

"Convenient location in the middle of town but no parking facility..Public car parking 100 metres away.
Bedroom noisy up to 23.00 due to karaoke in bar downstairs.
Very friendly and attentive staff and food choice and quality was excellent - best barbecued ribs I have had in a long time.
Well kept Real Ale."
