Another disappointment is thst the hotel only have shower in the onsen which many guests may like the experience but better if the hotel can consider shower room for people who wants privacy. "Stayed in Japanese Traditional Room with Private Open Air Bath. The pictures on Expedia are a true representation of the accommodation but the stay was even better than anticipated. Kaiseki meal in private dining room was wonderful and showcased a lot of the local food. The tatami room and sitting area in the room was nice and relaxing and the futons were perfectly set by the time we returned after dinner. The balcony onsen was a lovely warm contrast to the chilly wintry air. The public baths...

"Check-in was a little odd using a machine, but there was an employee who helped us. The nearby lake was beautiful, although we didn't have the clearest view from our room. The free sake was fun in the lobby. Breakfast was also tasty. The Japanese-style mattress (futon) could have used a bit more padding."
