Bourbon Orleans Hotel

"We stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel last week and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially considering the high price we paid for the stay. The air conditioning in our room barely worked, leaving the room uncomfortably warm throughout our visit. On top of that, the air quality smelled heavily of mildew, which caused severe allergy symptoms during our stay. The hot water situation was equally frustrating. We had to let the shower run for nearly 30 minutes before the water became warm enough to use, and when we reported it, staff simply blamed it on the building’s “old pipes” rather than offering a real solution or accommodation. To make matters worse, we found blood stains on one of the pillows and eyelashes on the bed sheets upon arrival, which made us seriously question the cleanliness standards of the hotel. Overall, we regret spending so much money to stay here. The location may be convenient, but the condition of the room, cleanliness concerns, and lack of resolution from staff made this an extremely disappointing experience."

"The executive corner level room was very clean and quiet. The executive level R Lounge was closed for entire trip,which was not disclosed in advance. The free breakfast at the Desire Oyster Bar restaurant was good, as were the chargrilled oysters at dinner. Le Booze ( formerly very nice cigar bar) has turned into nothing but a wall of tvs, indistinguishable from any other bar on Bourbon Street. The pool was packed, though the hotel wasn't. They sell passes to the public. They claim it's a heated pool, but I , nor anyone in the water thought it was heated. The common areas are great, and the staff is friendly. Desire Oyster Bar/Restaurant puts out good food all day, with great staff. The hotel is close to the river, and very close to the top Quarter restaurants and the rest in town are easily accessible via cab or Uber/Lift."

"The hotel was very lovely and in the heart of the French Quarter. This made it easy for us to walk everywhere we wanted to go easily. We had an issue with a loose toilet seat. I texted them and a person was at our door within 10 minutes to fix it. We would stay here again for a touch of luxury when we visit again!"

"Not at all what we expected after reading the good reviews on Expedia. Hotel parking lot view is obstructed from any other areas, so no one except someone at the hotel could see vandalism, signs there saying hotel is not responsible for theft or damage. No front desk clerk was there for check-in, it took almost twenty minutes to find someone. Once checked in we made it to the floor of our room and it STUNK, like really bad mildew smell. And there was an AC at the end of the hall squealing like crazy, could still be heard once in the room. And the room was nasty. We needed to shower to dress for an event and just walking from the bedroom to the bathroom turned our feet black. The towels were damp and one was already dirty and couldn't be used. No safe in the room so we couldn't even feel comfortable leaving anything. We left after getting dressed, took all our belongings with us and checked into another hotel."
