Initially the astetics of arriving at the pub/hotel looked promising and the ambiance of the bar area pleasent with polite reception staff.The room (4) was at first site ok, but a more detailed look revealed a more dirty aspect and not as expected. "Tv was a nightmare! Huge screen but on Tuesday I couldn’t turn it off or mute it so had a terrible night. Emergency phone number didn’t respond. After new batteries it still wasn’t working properly. "The Woodlands was a beautiful stay. I loved the surrounding wild life and peacefulness about it. Staff were wonderful and went out of their way to support me, being I am disabled and require a stick to walk. The bed was extremely comfortable, clean & fresh. Nice hot showers. Breakfast was excellent and catered to my tastes. Overall I would recommend the Woodlands if your looking for a stay that offers peaceful space, nature and a very warm welcome.
