"We stayed in a cabin withy ensuite, it was perfect. Nice and clean, adequate heating for the cold evenings and nights. The beds were comfy. The wee kitchen had a two hotplate and a microwave. The bench space was a bit squishy for everything but you just made it work. There was a bait station opposite our cabin which is very useful and we used it. The locality of the site is great near all the Rotorua lakes and handy to the city also"

"Cheap motel for a reason, very aged place obviously seemed like electrical wiring must be faulty. Only recommended if you just want a very cheap one night somewhere."

"The Alpin staff were so friendly and efficient, check in was super simple and allocated parks outside each apartment were great. Overall it was as advertised, but I found a few short hairs stuck to the wall and some rubbish under the bed, and there was a funky smell in the lounge that wasn't sulphur -- I suspect the freezer as it was quite unclean. The lighting is super cold and clinical. The room got nice and warm with a strong radiator which was a plus in the winter and the bed was super big...

"The room was immaculate, clean and comfortable for the two of us. Great bathroom very big and spacious. I had to work for a bit, the desk was spacious and the wifi had good coverage. We did not have a spa pool. Staff very friendly and I used the service sign to have our room serviced; came back and the room was spotless, thank you. Will definitely stay again and the rate was very good. Close to supermarket, town and restaurants so good location."
