"This hotel is very tired, there was no staff after 8pm and not enough parking for the number of rooms. The ac is cheap window ac and not very effective. Sheets are thin and towels small and rough and the rooms are low quality, think walls, linoleum, cheap appliances and box showers. On the plus side - good water pressure! I would not stay here again."

"The pool at the resort is great. It never felt crowded and plenty of chairs by the pool. The beach access is a huge plus. It is very close to food options other than the normal resort restaurants."

"What a great view from the back of room 2105! Very comfortable beds and helpful staff. The path out back was very nice too, it was situated close to good food and the town, very walkable. Very affordable for oceanfront. We enjoyed Mermaids for dinner as well as Gloria's for breakfast."

"An absolutely beautiful resort, with all the amenities and staff attention one can ask for while on vacation. Our villa was amazing! Everything was clean, plenty of towels and robes for the family, washer and dryer if needed, supplies for cooking, and a view that never disappoints!"

"Kauai Shores Hotel was perfect! We loved the location and the staff was so friendly! We went for our honeymoon and they even gifted us Hawaiian chocolates! We loved that they offered complimentary yoga daily. It was such a great place to stay. There was also live music daily which was really nice. The only negative was the restaurant on the property wasn’t good at all, but there are a lot of great options nearby. We would definitely go back and stay there again!"

"First room smelled horrible…front desk clerk sprayed the room…still horrible! I continued to complain, finally next day we were moved to another room. The property is well maintained and the remainder of our stay was nice but I felt we should have been offered a different room immediately after we complained about the smell in the first room, not the next day after complaining again."

"The location is definitely the highlight for this resort. Perfectly situated in front of the beach, with a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the resort. The beach itself is not for swimming as it’s short and rocky, but there are plenty of good options at walking distance. The resort itself is OK, adequate for the price but not exceptional. "The 2 bedroom villa accommodated our family of 6 perfectly. Having a kitchen and laundry in the room was great. The garden view was beautiful. The grounds are very well kept and it is very quiet and relaxing. The pool on the vacation club side of the property was nice and not very crowded. The beach front pool area was amazing!
