"Units were very tired - torn sofas, thread bare carpets! Not quite what I expected from the price. Having a bar and restaurant was great, food excellent, drinks very pricey!"

"What wonderful accommodations on beautiful grounds right by Lake Taupo! Was getting nervous on our road trip that there was nothing out here, but Tongariro Lodge exceeded any expectations. We stayed in a very comfortable villa, did a load of laundry, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend!"

"Sky tv went of at night and didn’t come back on soap in shower empty no plates or even a toaster would have been great so could of made breakfast if not wanting to eat at the restaurant bed uncomfortable staff pleasant "

"The Grove Turangi accommodation was lovely, easy to reach and very clean. There was parking right in front of the place. Check-in was super easy and straightforward with clear instructions. The hosts were very friendly. As an extra bonus, there was a sauna, which we really enjoyed. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we definitely recommend it! "

"Lovely motel right on the lake. Quiet, comfortable and clean room which was a good size, with good amenities and a nice balcony and lake views.The staff were lovely and very helpful. Taupo is a lovely town with lots of cafes, bars, restaurants. Plenty to do."

"While the facilities are a little older everything worked. A couple of things like the toilet paper holder and sink stopper were broken. The unit was clean and comfortable. The big issue was parking. Unless you got one of the prime spots it was a very tight back and forth between other vehicles, the building and a partially obscured incline. We had a small Toyota Corolla and could only squeeze between the building and another vehicle but couldn't open the door enough to get out. Get there early....
