"This hotel gets a lot of bad reviews but for a budget hotel it was great for a 2 night stay with my daughter for a cheerleading competition. The room and hotel decor is dated but this did not affect our stay. The beds were comfortable and clean, towels were provided and tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room. "Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"A great place to stay. Good restaurant. Since there was a wedding party there at the same time, it was quicker to walk down the street to the pub instead of using the bar as there was only one barman serving lots of people."

I am an experienced traveller and dont like being treated any differently to anyone else! Whole hotel and the grounds are georgeous though and I enjoyed my time there. "5* Luxury from the moment you walk in. Great selection of restaurants and the pub next door is fantastic. The leisure suite is the best I’ve visited with a poor, sauna and steam. The gym is state of art. Surrounding area offers great walks and wildlife. Reception first class and the massage was amazing. Bargain find."
