"Premier room was tatty… curtains had hole in them, some off hooks, bed throw had mark on it. Despite asking for the room to be serviced and leaving the sign on the door - it wasn’t - I was told they missed it because I was at the end of the corridor!"

"The experience was unique, stopping in Lumley Castle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. This was a bed for the night while visiting Beamish, 11 minutes away. Beautiful setting and grounds. We didn’t have breakfast or evening meal but would definitely go again for the full experience. Thankyou for our time there."

However out of 4 nights of our stay one night sleep was interupted by noisy guests returning to their room at 1 pm followd by another gentleman swearing, yelling and banging for at least 30 minutes at 2/3pm. there was allso some functions held at the venue where resident guest parking was made difficult by the sheer number of cars parking for the functiobns. "Do not stay here, it needs demolishing. If you are desperate for somewhere to sleep consider getting a sleeping bag and sleeping on the streets! It was a walk in, walk out and find another hotel scenario!"

"The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. "Stayed at INNSiDE by Meliá Newcastle and it absolutely delivers. Prime Quayside location, slick modern rooms, and everything just works, clean, comfortable, and well thought out. The complimentary minibar is a nice touch and the river views are an absolute bonus. Service is spot on, friendly, efficient, no fuss. Food at Gino D’Acampo Newcastle is genuinely very good and rounded off my stay nicely. Simple: great hotel, no weak points, would 100% stay again."
