"Our stay was awesome! It’s in a great location and felt very safe. Our only problem was the sliding bathroom door that wouldn’t stay closed. I’m sure this isn’t a problem in just our room. They really need to fix the doors as the room is already so small so that’s privacy that is much needed. "

"This property is a hidden gem of a hotel. I love that at reception, you can sit down in a comfortable chair at eye level with the friendly front desk personnel, rather than be stuck standing with your bag as in most hotels. Our room was spotless, beautifully appointed and luxuriously stocked with superior linen and furnishings. The big secret is the Wheeltapper pub off the lobby. It's at once a well worn New York Irish pub and the sexy, cool, speakeasy/bar/restaurant that serves up well...

"The staff at this hotel were amazing. Staff helped us with whatever was needed. The hotel is well cared for & inviting. The staff at the marketplace were not very accommodating & prices were super high for what was purchased. The room was great & the housekeeping staff provided many things we needed. However, after two of the 4 night stay, we didn’t receive a room cleaning or weren’t asked about it. Weird. The location is exceptional & made traveling the city very convenient. "

"We booked the hotel for a 7 day visit. The location was amazing, especially if your trip is focused on midtown: we walked to Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central, Empire State... lots and lots of food options nearby and an amazing bodega right around the corner and a cozy and delicious little cafe. Shout out to reception desk who were amazing all the time there, the doorman (he rocks), and housekeeping. Everyone was cordial, including the waiters at Take Care restaurant. The room was ample...

"Hotel was clean, freshly painted and very stylish. In a great location for most attractions and has a great cocktail room and downstairs bar. Staff were extremely helpful at all times and very polite and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to family and friends. Great experience overall. "

"We very much so enjoyed our stay at the freehand hotel. The staff are excellent people and extremely welcoming and supportive. They will give you great directions and help you at a 10 out of 10 level. The restaurant is fantastic with excellent food and amazing staff. They make good drinks and very good pizza.
