"The parking lot was nice and big, no problems getting into and leaving the property. I tried to check the tub drain and it came out of the tub drain mechanism. But I didn’t want a bath so I didn’t worry about it, and left the piece in the tub area. The WiFi worked well with no connection problems. My wife said the coffee at the front desk was very good. She absolutely needs her coffee in the morning. We would definitely stay here again."

"The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. The bathroom for us was well above a 10 in rating. There was no water leaking out from the shower at all. The step in shower was a very welcome extra. As a senior stepping over a tub wall to take a shower is a fear. But here at spark it was so easy in and out of the shower. "I stay here whenever I am in town because it's the cheapest and check-in is always easy, even after 10 pm. However, the room I had this time had some plumbing challenges. Clogged bath, loose toilet seat. Enough towels for one person and stained. But I understand many towels are stolen quite often at this location. The place always serves the primary purpose, which is a place to stay late when the races get out, and is easy enough to leave first thing in the morning. Grateful for the $22 discount...

"This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia."
